The Odeonsplatz in Munich was turned into a living art object
On the occasion of the IAA Mobility 2021, the Odeonsplatz in Munich was turned into a living art object by the outdoor exhibition stand of Mercedes-Benz.
A true eye-catcher: The centrepiece of the outdoor art space was the monumental artwork "Earthtime 1.26 Munich" by US artist Janet Echelman, stretched over the exhibition stand with with a length of 24, width of 21 and height of 16 metres.
Display International planned and manufactured a "kinked", futuristic platform, which optimally staged the exhibition areas for the Mercedes-EQ models and further Mercedes-Benz brands. The walkable roof with green landscape and integrated path system additionally provided for an experience-oriented brand presentation. The path through the scenic ambience was framed by the integration of sustainability topics.
The biggest challenges for us as stand builders were probably the enormously short construction time of only 8 days, demanded by the organiser, as well as the logistics in the middle of Munich city.
