Award for sustainability: Zumtobel exhibition stand impresses at Light + Building 2024
Sustainability in exhibition stand construction - our contribution to the Zumtobel exhibition stand at Light + Building 2024
As the stand builder for Zumtobel's award-winning “Sustainable Exhibition Stand” at Light + Building 2024 (Messe Frankfurt GmbH), we were responsible for the precise and sustainable implementation of this visionary stand concept. 925 m² of extraordinary architecture was created, focusing on lightness and transparency. Our focus was on implementing the stand construction efficiently, in a resource-saving manner and in line with sustainability goals.
Sustainability in the implementation
Zumtobel placed particular emphasis on the following sustainability aspects:
- Optimized material cycle: 85% of the materials used were reused, resulting in CO₂ savings of 90 tonnes.
- Resource-conserving choice of materials: Sustainable materials such as rPET fabrics and reusable aluminum profiles were used selectively.
- Circular economy in exhibition stand construction: From the construction to furniture and technical components, all elements were designed to be reusable.
- Regional partnerships: Close cooperation with local suppliers and service providers reduced transportation routes and strengthened sustainable processes.
